These side forums are so nice and quiet compared to the Bridge.  smile  So, I was wondering recently how many of us on here have been to a Star Trek Convention before and, if so, to which have you gone?

In 2016 I attended the Boston convention (which was my first) and loved it!  Very small (~2000 fans) and intimate with the actors.  My unexpected favorite people there were Tim Russ (Very bright guy and very personable too) and Terry Farrell (super sweet and very personable as well).

Last year for Trek’s 50th, I went to the Vegas convention.  This one was massive!  But still fun.  And I never would have expected that my favorites here ended up being Scott Bakula (who was incredibly kind and funny in person.  Probably the best speaker) and Garret Wang (who is probably the most fun Trek actor you will ever find in person.  He’s so different than Ensign Kim).

Curious about all of your experiences!

I have always wanted to go to a convention. This year I came close to going but other things got in the way. Thanks for sharing this. I look forward to hearing about other people’s stories. I will keep dreaming and maybe next year I can finally make it to one.
