So, this is an absolute first for me. I’m rank 54 and have NEVER been that high.

I’ve used standard tactics, but I can’t help but wonder: is no one playing this event? Is the threshold reward topping out at 120000 VP a factor? Are people waiting to jump in on the Galaxy half of the event?

Someone lifted my sig crew count! I’m flattered!

I was wondering the same thing.  I don’t do well at faction events (crew’s not strong enough, my max skills are in 500s without bonuses), normally end up in the high-2k’s by the time phase changes.

Currently, I’m in the 1800s, which is much higher than normally am 24 hours in.

Maybe people really hate fake Geordi…

I’m on the outside of top 2,000 right now. Got a full-day subbing job yesterday so I couldn’t jump into the faction side of things like I wanted to.

Reward-wise, I already have a fully fused Soong. I don’t dislike non-canon crew, but LaForge would be another 1/5 for me and I don’t know when I’d work on leveling him. If Icheb was the ranked reward I’d be a lot more enthusiastic about this event. I’ll probably do the faction events up until the deadline (or I get the last chronoton threshold reward), then skip the second half so I can level up my drone 7 of 9.

I’m thinking it’s La Borgi. First time I’ve still been sitting in the top 1000 after the first 24h of an Event (800ish), though it maybe that the RNG is being quite fair to me so far. I also have 1200 cron stockpiled for the second 1/2. I was hoping to finish 1500 or better so I can have 2 4/4’s at the end since I recieved 1 Itchy from an Event pull.

If the participation is really that low, this is a good sign that we will not have to deal with fake chars in the future anymore.

Hybrid events typically get about 10k less participants than regular shuttle events. So it may be less competitive. However the true test will be how well you do in the galaxy portion, I typically drop from ~400 to ~2000.

typically 24 hours in I am 45k-50k vp and around 250th place.  currently 40540 vp is 922nd place.  high level participation actually seems up, so good RNG on you.

Altough I missed to send many shuttles (especially the overnight ones) - only shooting for the Queen - I’m around ~500. That gave me the impression the OP claimed.

i’m over 3000 for a new low by far.  just playing it straight up with no boosts at all.  but still I would say participation is on the high side.

For me, the Galaxy half is the saving grace; I’m awful in Faction, but great in Galaxy (the joys of equal-opportunity event types that matter more about being a math/stat nerd).

It’s hard to be sure as it’s all crew dependant and I have a few well levelled borg.
But i think I’m about where I was in the last weeks faction at about this time so it looks about the same.

If it helps determine participation, I joined the event 8 hours after it began (slept in, then realized I’d sent out 9-hour shuttles way too late), and after my first few hundred points trickled in from the crew I’d shared with my squadron, I was at somewhere around the 26,000 rank.

Most likely the late start is why I’m doing pretty terrible in this first phase. Right now I’m in the 5000s, though I was in the top 3000 for a bit yesterday. I do plan on doing a major push in Phase II, though, since I’m hoping to acquire a fully-fused Soong, as I didn’t have him before.

With the OP on this one. I’ve been consistently 300, and I’ve never been able to maintain this level (i’m usually around 800 or the 1k danger zone). Good RNG indeed, but it just feels… smoother.

I think one contributing factor is the overwhelming preponderance of high-ENG crew in this Borg event. We’re in the third week, and maybe people are already set for whatever big ENG they wanted from the first 2?
