Sisko is OP… he was basically a super hero in a show with the most powerful crew in any ST. Picard was a way better captain, he just didn’t have plot powers.

Picard was a middle manager with diplomatic skills who just happened to get a starship.

The Sisko—- he was chosen to have the powers he did because of who the Prophets knew he’d be. And thoug the ep sucked, he at least had the balls to punch Q.

Picard also would not have won the Dominion War.

Why are there so few versions of Starfleet’s greatest captain and father?

There are lots of versions of Picard

He wouldn’t have had too, if he’d been around the Dominion War wouldn’t have started.

The best Trek captain definitely needs more versions of him.

There really should be. It’s glaring oversight now. Especially when we get yet ANOTHER Kirk.

There are plenty of great Siskos to choose from.

Klingon Sisko. Coach Sisko. All the Siskos mentioned above.

Brag all you want! But don’t get between me and the blood wine!

We really ought to have an event with the Klingon versions of Sisko, O’Brien and Odo.

I’m sorry, I think he created the meme game.

Sisko is a great captain but he is definitely second fiddle to Kirk and Picard. I’m not surprised we have very few as a result.

Don’t forget Dr. Hippocrates Noah. Or Benny Russell. High-roller Sisko. There’s lots of good canon Sisko personas to draw from. I’m actually surprised that DB has missed an opportunity to feature him - especially in February for Black History Month.

A “Far Beyond the Stars” event with a 5-Star Benny Russell, and 4-Star versions of Kasidy Yates and Jake’s characters from the episodes seems like an absolute no-brainer for Black History Month.

Excellent idea.

Kirk is an explorer. Picard is a diplomat. Sisko is a soldier.

It’s like arguing about whether a pipewrench is better than a hammer. The answer is “it depends.”

I remember listening to a program on Winston Churchill, and the narrator mentioned that in some native tribes there was a tradition of having two different leaders: one during peace, one during war. The analogy was that Churchill was the ideal war chieftain.

All three have a strong blend of characteristics. In peace, though, Picard is the one I’d trust to best balance conflicting demands and manage difficult personalities with an incredible sense of personal ethics. In war, Sisko is the one I’d trust to do whatever it took, to embrace the old Salvor Hardin dictum to “never let your sense of morals prevent you from doing what is right.” Kirk’s best use is less in a position of overarching command, and more as the tip of the spear on an unknown assignment, where his boldness and willingness to act quickly have the most value.

Having said all that, Sisko brought the Romulans into the Dominion War and in so doing saved the entire Alpha Quadrant. He also punched Q. Sisko FTW.

He wouldn’t have had too, if he’d been around the Dominion War wouldn’t have started.

You’re right, he would have diplomatically arranged such a tight relationship that the Federation would have taken Cardassias place as the Dominions minions in the Alpha Quadrant.

He really wouldn’t. Either magically prevented the Dominion War (I mean, the man doesn’t put up with Cardassian expansionism let alone Dominion’s blowing up Galaxy class starships all over the shop.) nor played a doormat.

Frankly, you need to remember these guys were on the same side and fought the same war from different places and we got to see Sisko’s part because he was in the front lines pretty much all of the time.

It’s cool to have preferences, but this is getting REALLY STUPID.
