I was thinking of posting this in The Bridge, but then decided it’s far too silly, and thought it probably fit better in this forum. wink

Since there’s no way I can remember the names of all the various items when I go on an item farming mission, I started renaming them to things I can remember. So instead of trying to recall “polyalloy, or Ferengi PADD, or hyperspanner, or cortical stimulator” (and what they each look like) when I need one, I give them a name based on what they look like at first glance.

Granted, it’s a little like the results of an inkblot test, as my idea of what something looks like probably differs from yours, but here is a selection of some of the wrong-but-more-memorable names I’ve given to actual items, so that I can easily remember after a run-through of the mission if I received the item I needed:

slab of butter
silver hawk
bronze hawk
spark plug
lightsaber
downturned flashlight
amoeba
laptop
Simon game
Merlin game
gas pump
paint brush
electric toothbrush
fire
teakettle
dreidel

(I told you it was silly…) tongue rolleye

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.

HAAHA! Agree!! Sometimes I’ll be angrily screaming internally, “oh, come on, paintbrush, give me a break!!” aka hyperspanner on days its drop rate is killing me even more than usual.

I saw someone refer to the Science Experiments as Weed Jars and now that’s all I see/think when they appear. I’ve never even done drugs nor knew what weed jars were! XD
