The unfathomable has occurred: the fabric of time has collapsed.

The timelines are in disarray.

An infinite number of people have crossed over into this Universe.

Past, Present and Future selves colliding with one another.

Along with them, a plethora of ships and fleets have taken over the star system.

Disorder and confusion abound as each fights for supremacy.

Neither the invasion by the Borg nor the Dominion put the galaxy in such jeopardy.

The future of all sentient life is in grave peril.

But from the chaos comes a beacon of hope.

A fleet emerges that vows to bring order to the chaos.

To protect the future from its own past.

To boldly go where no fleet has gone before.

This fleet is known as:

THE GUARDIANS OF TOMORROW

For those willing to take on the challenge of protecting the galaxy’s future from itself, then PM me and together we shall be victorious!

The Guardians of Tomorrow has already recruited some Captains to help in its cause but we are still looking for more.

As fleet leader let me tell you a little about myself:

I’m Vip 13 and have been playing practically since the launch of the game. I usually place in the top 100’s of Events, several times placing in the top 50 and once finishing in the top 15.

My squadron has also done well placing in 61st in Blood and Circuses 2 and in the top 20 in Holograms are Forever.

I am looking for active and competitive players who want to be part of somethiing bigger than themselves. The fleet is composed of players of different levels who have come together in order to help each other achieve their individual goals while also doing well as a united group.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, and/or have any questions, feel free to PM me.

EDIT: I don’t accept “blind” requests to join the fleet. Please PM me first.

Entry One:

Dear reader,

In our galaxy of disarray, where chronological reference is meaningless and the very notion of individuality in peril, you may find yourself as I did…adrift and lost.  Even if you were a person of uniform that stood for something before, a stream of horrors unfolds causing you to question everything you thought you knew about friend and foe.

Sound familiar?  Then it’s in hope that we can all help each other find our way in this new, perilous age that I will share what I’ve learned from this scrappy fleet which responded to my SOS a week ago.  May it prove as helpful to you as well!

*

Fact One:  From Discord…Harmony

*

Fact Two:  Though we don’t exactly condone radioactive experiments on small mammals, if one such specimen happens to come by, its mutated cerebral talents won’t go to waste.

*

Fact Three: Canadians are just really nice.  I tried to deny it, but I can’t.  I had a girl from Canada do me wrong once, and I tried to hold it against all Canadians ever since.  But they’re so gul-dern nice it’s just impossible.  Come meet ours.  You’ll see what I mean…

*

Fact Four: ‘The Tick’ re-runs haven’t made it to Sweden.

*

Fact Five:  China East Airlines has free internet access!

*

...from these clues, dear reader, and more to come…the solution to the galaxy’s metaphysical malaise will surely be discovered!

Enjoy your game, and if you think ‘Guardians of Tomorrow’ can help, please let Gabe17 know how.  (I mean, sure you can PM me…but I’m just gonna ask Gabe what to do anyway.  Happy to help and all, but you don’t have to wait on me to check my forum messages if you don’t really want to.  Just sayin’...)

Tune in soon for more critically important Fleet Facts!

Entry Two:

Fleet Fact Six:  Lieutenant Barclay’s fate is precarious among our fleet!  Some of our captains resent his grating personality…as well as the fact he’s endangered the ship four or five times.

If you think Lt. Barclay gets a bad rap, please come join “The Guardians of Tomorrow” and save some of the poor Reg’es from the airlock.  (...and really, if endangering the ship several times were really a capital offense, how many major characters would we have left?)

*

Fact Seven:  Our Fleet Anthropologists have succeeded in decoding more of the mythological semantics of the mysterious yet technologically advanced Children of Tamar.  Through extensive study and cultural exchange, here are just some of our new findings of the Tamarians’ recent linguistic evolution:

“Spock, his eyebrow raised.”  (Someone said something either absurd or interesting.)

“Picard at Risa.”  (Someone introverted and uptight getting lulled into a sordid weekend.)

“Luke at Cloud City, his hand gone, his horrible wails.”  (Our 24th Century anthropologists are still trying to puzzle the meaning of this one, although the Tamarians seemed flummoxed that we lack the reference, as if it were obvious.  Dialogue continues….)

“Edward, his eyes smolder.”  (We gather this is a romantic reference of a male putting out the pheremones.  We don’t fully grasp the confusing cosmological narrative, but the phrase seems quite versatile and consistent in this context, effectively grabbing the attention of younger female audiences.)

“Bella, her soul torn, her longing stronger.”  (see above.)

“The Doctor, running.  His screwdriver in hand.  The neutrino field, its polarity reversed.”  (Tamarians seem divided on the context of this narrative, used both in terms of dramatic ingenuity and a more sardonic sense of a tired and overused solution, despite an incredible success rate.)

“Fonzie, the shark jumped.”  (Pretty self explanatory: a narrative gone on too long.)

...and on that note, we wish you more fun filled days of STT adventures!

*

Please feel free to post your own discoveries of more mythological references from your communications with those enigmatic Children of Tamar!

What makes The Guardians of Tomorrow different from all the others ... well ... the biggest difference I can see from reading through all the different fleet posts is that we have don’t have permanent or fixed squadrons. We rotate squads for every Faction Event based on who has the strongest crew and divide the other members equally so that all can benefit.

Our fleet’s main priority is to help each other achieve success and get stronger as individual players and by balancing out the squadrons we can do just that. Our fleet motto is “the strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.”

Does this mean we can’t compete with other fleets or squads? No, not at all. In the last Faction Event all our squads placed in the top 100. Rather than just have 1 squad do really well, we prefer balanced success and as time passes we will only get stronger as a group.

All are welcome to join our fleet. We have a varied group of experienced VIP players as well as the opposite. What we all have in common is our willingness to help each other out in all aspects of the game, be it by giving suggestions and tips on game play or putting the interests of the other fleet members ahead of our own.

No member will be asked to spend money, achieve specific in game goals within a certain amount of time or attain a particular rank in an Event. The only conditions I have for my members are:

a) be an active player

b) add the fleet tag [GoT] to your in game name and The Guardians of Tomorrow to your signature if you post on the forum (both are ways of promoting the fleet).

c) join the fleet server on the Discord App. The in game chat is extremely unreliable so the server was set up for more efficient communciation, especially in terms of squadron formation. There is no social obligation to “chit chat”, although if you choose to do so, you will find a very unique and interesting array of people to socialize with. Members are, however, required to check in regularly in order to get the most updated information about Events, squad formations, game news, etc.

So if you want to be a part of a fleet where individuals egos are set aside in favour of mutual cooperation and collaboration then PM me and you too can achieve individual strength and success through our unity.

Fleet Fact Eight!

For this Christmas season, we have a very special guest assisting the Humanoid Resources Department of our fleet.

The temporal anomaly has gifted us with famed psychiatrist, Dr Helen Noel, MD!

EE:  Dr Noel, why has Starfleet sent you to ‘Guardians of Tomorrow’?

HN:  As a specialist in rehabilitative therapy, it is my professional honor to assist this fleet’s diverse membership in discovering functional ways to cope with the stark compound emotional stresses of the temporal anomaly and the holiday season.

EE:  Fascinating!  How is it going so far?

HN:  [Smiling broadly]  Oh, we’ve made remarkable progress!

EE:  Can you share with us the particulars of this progress?

HN:  Absolutely!  Antique patient privacy regulations in North America were swept away in the aftermath of WWIII’s Eugenic Wars & Post-Atomic Horror, so I can share on anything you ask.

EE:  Great!  How is Calistoga coming along?

HN:  Oh, splendidly!  Calistoga has a very rare form of Tourette’s Syndrome specific to non-coporeal entities.  We’ve seen this on the Enterprise in the form of Trelane of Gothos, and in the 24th Century starfleet encounters with the so-called “Q.”  These near-omnscient life forms are quite prone to thinking their staggering intelligence correlates to a sense of humor of equal magnitude.  I suspect Calistoga is actually one such lifeform manifesting as a humanoid starship captain.  So his vast mastery of cultural references with rapid-fire use of memes is a release of pent-up intellectual energy.

EE:  I see! How have you been able to treat him?

HN:  Calistoga’s rehabilitation to functional fleet interactions has relied on Klingon pain sticks.

EE:  Wow!

HN:  Yes.  It doesn’t really alter his behavior much, but I have observed it makes Gabe feel much better to be administer the treatment.

EE:  I’ve noticed the same thing….

HN:  Yes, the Fleet Admiral’s blood pressure has gone down dramatically.

EE:  Great job, Dr Noel.  Now about FrigidIceMan?

HN:  FrigidIceMan is a very interesting case.  My first hypothesis was his interpersonal issues were synthehol related.  But detox and 12 step program attendance didn’t seem to have any affect.  We had to look into environmental clues to his condition.

EE:  And what did you find?

HN:  Interestingly, his proper functioning in sub-arctic conditions turns out to be unresponsive to more sunlight or simulated sunlight sources.  This was our first clue that Frigid is actually an android.

EE:  I knew it!

HN:  Indeed!  His positronic net is reliant on a subroutine input of mathematical sequences in the form acoustic soundwaves.

EE:  You know, it all makes sense now…you’re really good Dr Noel!

HN:  Thank you, Ecir.

EE:  Now tell us about Glorat, the Nuclear Rodent?

HN:  I feel Glorat is very troubled, but the Fleet Admiral has prohibited me from treating him yet.

EE:  Well, yeah—-we keep the fleet chief engineer kinda busy.  Whatever’s wrong with him, I’m not sure we can afford to have it fixed….

HN:  I don’t think that’s a very enlightened attitude.  Perhaps we should discuss it, Ecir?

EE:  Ummmmm…sure Doc.  Let’s schedule that real soon!  Speaking of the Fleet Admiral, have you been able to help Gabe at all?

HN:  I think so.  Coming to terms with his former life of crime, which has led him to flee his continent of origin.  A simple cathartic regimen of therapy and structured restitution for his financial malfeasance will pay great dividends on his psychological health.

EE:  I don’t know, doc.  I’d probably take the money and run, myself.  Dr Noel, I’ve noticed that all the patients you’ve seen in our fleet so far are male.  What of the female members of the fleet?

HN:  I’m just starting to get to know Jessica, Galaxigirl, and Heidi, but so far they’re simply not exhibiting signs of mental distress or personality disorder in any way comparable to some of the male members of your fleet.

EE:  Hey, doc…Distress This!

HN:  Now, Ecir.  I believe this is dysfunctional behavior for a fleet officer.  I really think we should set aside some time to talk before holiday stress takes a further toll.

EE:  Don’t you start with me!  I know about you.  I heard about that Enterprise Christmas Party!

HN:  [shocked expression]  This interview is over….

EE:  Wait, I have 1700 characters left, and we haven’t even gotten to Spoonhead, or Terfin, or Talon.  Gunboat Diplomat is new…but I know he’s trouble.  OneWayDown & SaoloCant.  So many other minds to probe!  Vendray & “Joseph” Dubya…he’s really GW Bush 43’s screenname isn’t he?  I’m sure of it.  Kyptan is spanking us all this event.  He resorted to credit card fraud to pull it off, didn’t he?
