I noticed something new at the 5,000 VP treshold reward for AVA, Dragonblood. The only description is that it’s useful in the enhancing of dragons. I’ve checked the the Dragon Pit to see if it’s used there, but I could find anything. So what’s this Dragonblood supposed to do?

How thoughtful of DB to hide new items in a generic AVA post. I suppose that means the Dragonblood doesn’t belong on the same shelf as my Grand Marnier. Very delicious Grand Marnier by the way, a bit stronger than usual, really makes my throat burn. Anyhow I probably should remove the Dragonblood from the shelf, although I can’t really seem to find it, only an empty bottle.

You probably don’t want to get rid of it. I suspect it will be part of the recipe for creating an elder dragon. I’m advising all my players to participate in AvA to get it.

I was crafting a Masterwork Spear this morning and used a red gem to see if I could get anything good and noticed that the Dragonsblood was on the top row with the red gems.  I obviously don’t know what it will ultimately be used for but this seems to indicate that it will be used to enhance items with affixes.  Maybe only for dragons maybe for all items.

Can DB tell us if dragonblood will remain in our possession after reincarnating?

If you use red gems (not that there is much you can use them on anymore) be careful what you click on as the new item Dragonblood is in there.

This also brings up other questions.
Is this the red gem equivalent to Flawless Blue and Black gems?
If so looks like it can’t be used on any luck based craft item.
What will be the purpose of this gem?

I’m not sure how it can be a Flawless Red Gem, as the Peerless version already has a 100% chance of superior results

I’m thinking probably something like a red gem but for dragons. Maybe for an ice dragon or something. It would have to be a non luck recipe though.

Dragonsblood should not be showing up with the red gems and we are pushing a fix for this with tomorrow’s build. We will be releasing more information on the uses of Dragonsblood in the near future.
