Greetings Everyone!

Are you in an alliance with over 50 people, but can’t bother to remember their names every life? Did you just inherit an alliance from an inactive leader who set it to “open” and now there are 2000+ bums just lying around drinking your ale? Do you really hate the member list and have no idea what sort of dark shadow magic conjured that sum’bitch? Are you seriously taking screenshots? seriously? no…really?

I am here to offer to help you manage your member list, and figure out who to boot to the cold north. I offer two services:

Inactive members:

I will go through your members list and check each player’s activity log (yes, by hand, one by one.) You choose how many days a player is inactive to qualify for the boot list. I will put that player’s name and ID into a spreadsheet. Which I will send a link to you via PM on Facebook or Forum so you can watch me add names. You can check the names yourself, to make sure I am not being cheeky (I am cheeky, just not with spreadsheets, thems is serious business.) Then you decide to boot that player. I don’t have to be a member of your alliance. You and I just need to be in game friends (47101) so I can use the link to your alliance in your profile.

Note: If you want me to find the bastards and then also kick them out (Ooo Fun!), I can do that as well. You’ll just need to let my alt in and make her an officer and I will boot the daylights out of those lazy, ale-drinking dicks and then I will leave. I can only do that one alliance at a time, of course.

Note 2: If you need an update every X amount of days, I might be willing to revisit your member list every now and then. Or let you know who is coming very close to the kick out time.

What I need:

- A pm on Facebook (Auralys Wium) or through the Forum with your In game name and your ID#
- # of days inactive.
- # of current players, so I have an idea of what I am getting myself into.
- Time

Member List in a Google Spreadsheet:

I will make a google spreadsheet for your alliance. It will have the following basic information: ID, IGN, Level, GP. It will look like this:
Member List Sample (basic)

If there is other information that you want in the spreadsheet, just ask and I will let you know if I can add it.

Note: Permed CP/GP is by default: over lvl 90 = 1, if your members have actually reincarnated and gotten more than the standard 1, then they have to tell you, and you have to add it yourself.

Note 2: I will not be updating these sheets after I make them. That will become your job. So after I am done, I will enable the ability to copy it. So you can make a copy of the sheet and do with it as you please.

What I need:

- A pm on Facebook(Auralys Wium) or the Forum with your In game name and your ID#
- # of current players, so I have an idea of what I am getting myself into.
- Any additional info you might need, if I can provide it.
- Time

What do I get out of this?

The perverse pleasure of watching people get kicked out of their alliances for being inactive? Yeah, definitely. But also I just like to help out the community where I can. And I have the time and energy to do this super weird thing that everyone else finds torturous and mind numbing. But also…if you find yourself falling in love with me, for totally unrelated reasons, or you have decided we are best friends and you know that I’m a Trade Specialist, and I love gold more than a dragon does.

Perhaps you would like to show this love and new found best friend status, for totally unrelated reasons to the above, through the Iron bank: Iron Bank

If you know of any alliance leader that really needs help with their member list/finding inactive players. Please, please tell them about me so I can help.

DB should fix the member’s list. I submitted a patch here
https://forums.disruptorbeam.com/gota/viewreply/251771/

Now, it would be cool to have a way to export the members’ list.
And also, I would like to have the list with last activity for each member, it’s not that hard to do.

People like Aregon are a great FREE resource, DB please use them! If not, people like Auralys are here to get the job done.
Either way, the player base will find a way around the bad coding and we WILL fix this game whether you like it or not! smile

Yeah two solutions in one post….

He posted this patch weeks ago, i do not understand why DB hasnt taken the time to look at it? Perhaps he should create a ticket and share it there so that they can share it with whoever needs to look at it, or find one of DB’s people here and PM them..

Just curious - How will you find out the player’s level and ID?

Thanks for offering your help, hopefully some alliances will find it useful.

You can do it yourself with a little time and effort: Go to an alliance screen (click on alliance name in AvA leaderboards) then click on player’s names and you’ll get the level, Fealty and some more infos.

I don’t see the level anywhere, and I’m really curious how to find out the ID. In the character tab I see stuff like the fealty, title, recent log, alignment etc but not the level and ID. Maybe I am looking at the wrong place?

ID, you can’t find it anywhere. One of the most frustrating things to find or or add friends is that you need this magical # that is nowhere to be found.

Level, it appears in PtP (random target list) and in your friends list as a 2nd circle, lower right of the character icon. It has a number in it and that’s the player level. Can’t find it if they are not in your friends list (go to ID smile ), which is a weird and unlogical place to list it. I have suggested adding it to the Alliance Member List but of course that has not been read or considered.

I’ve been doing this on my own alliance… never thought on doing it for others… that is the line between common people and businessmen.

There are a couple of ways to do this.
For ID:
The more time consuming method is to go through the member list, one-by-one and, on the character name, inspect element.
A still tedious, though moderately less strenuous means, is to get the real URL for the “call” made to the DB servers that populates the table of members with the list of in-game characters. This provides the names and their associated IDs in chunks of ten. It is easy to understand the upper and lower bounds of the call and then create URLs requesting the sequential pages after the first one.
In a separate tab the list requesting URLs will generate the json code for the table we all see (though without cutting off the list at 7 IGN). Concatenate, or handle each sub-list individually, and then convert using off-line or online tools to a csv file and voila, you have your list of IDs, spreadsheet ready.

For levels a different “call” URL may be used in which the individual in game ID is the terminating parameter. The returned json includes a bunch of data, including stuff you do not see on screen on a routine basis. Amongst those nuggets is the players true level in the game.

I should mention that the “call” URLS are most easily discerned when playing the game, on a browser, with dev tools or similar running - and the network traffic being monitored.

I use Chrome, so this method is for that. Go to your alliance member list, for example, and right click on any name and choose Inspect. A window will open and this line will be highlighted: onclick=“return characterMainModal(####)”. The number in the () is the ID number. If you are doing this in a member list, the other members on that page are also listed. You just have to click the arrows to expand some sections. Expands"tr style…”—->Expand “td…”—-> id is in the ().

It’s rather simple to find an id. smile

I use Inspect to get the ID. I use the ID in the friend search to get the level. smile

Thank you very much :D

However…I am very heartbroken as not a single person has taken me up on my offer. :(

Give it some time. The leaders/officers that would need it the most have never gotten around to cleaning their list and maybe don’t even know why it’s needed. Those players would also be less likely to read the forum on a daily basis. Or…they are like me who is still hoping DB applies the patch that was handed to them on a silver platter.

I agree with Dutch, you will have to wait and market this concept, there are tons of players who doesnt use the forum or use ot very oftenly.

I’m interested in something like this not on an alliance level, but simply from my friends.  I have several hundred friends and do not know who is active and inactive.  I hate sending out favors to inactives.
